Ms. Bowman focuses her practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate and Family Law where her accounting and tax experience is particularly advantageous in drafting living trusts to avoid estate taxes, in preparing a probate accounting and in calculating alimony, child support and a division of the community property. She also focuses her practice in Business and Real Estate Law & Litigation. She has represented small business for over 15 years in transactions and litigation by establishing Corporations, Partnerships and LLCs, by drafting Buy/Sell Agreements and other contracts, as well as litigating all types of business disputes, such as business dissolutions, breaches of trust by business associates, collection matters and contract disputes. Ms. Bowman is a CPA and has several decades of experience in accounting. Ms. Bowman honed her skills under the tutelage of one of the most respected firms in Kern County. Since that time, she has taken her own cases and obtained numerous beneficial results for her clients. Ms. Bowman has run her own firm for ten years now and has the experience and capability to handle a wide variety of civil matters.

Russell Hicks – Attorney
After graduating from USC’s renowned law school, his practice focused upon litigation in corporate firms and law departments in Los Angeles. After moving to Bakersfield in 1989, Mr. Hicks resumed his passion for research and writing and his abilities in these areas are known throughout Kern County. Mr. Hicks is currently Of Counsel to Bowman & Associates.

Warner Kind – Attorney
Mr. Kind graduated from California Western School of Law in December of 2008 and passed the California Bar Exam in February of 2009. He began working for Bowman & Associates in November of 2009. Mr. Kind has handled a wide variety of civil cases and has obtained advantageous results for the clients of the firm. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Kind worked as a project engineer for a commercial general contractor and has been able to apply that knowledge to cases involving our clients in the construction industry.

Lisa Gojich – Office Manager
Ms. Gojich has over 20 years of legal experience. She has practical knowledge in all areas of civil litigation and assists the firm in pursuing claims in these areas. Ms. Gojich has worked with Ms. Bowman for over a decade. Ms. Gojich manages the office staff and handles the accounting duties for the firm.

Roxanne Flom – Paralegal
With more than 37 years of legal experience, Ms. Flom is an irreplaceable member of the Bowman & Associates team. Ms. Flom handles a majority of the filings for our probate practice and assists in many of our family law matters that we receive as well. Ms. Flom currently resides in Tehachapi and has a daughter practicing law in New York.

Ms. Capilla focuses her efforts on family law, estate planning and incorporations. She has extensive legal knowledge from her experience working for Ms. Bowman and is capable of assisting our clients in a variety of areas. Ms. Capilla grew up in Shafter and moved to Bakersfield after completing high school. She knows the courts and how they operate. Ms. Capilla is a valued member of the Bowman & Associates team.
